In commemoration of World Human Rights Day 2025, the Human Rights & Conflict Resolution Centre Abakaliki (HRCRC), in partnership with the National Human Rights Commission (Abakaliki Office) and the Ebonyi State Civil Society Network, held a press conference to spotlight the pressing challenges facing Ebonyi residents — from HRCRC”s access road deplorable condition, EEDC exploitative practices, dangerous unreclaimed mining pits, and more – following this year’s theme – HUMAN RIGHTS-OUR EVERYDAY ESSENTIALS.
We call on the government to listen to the voices of the people and take urgent action. Ebonyi citizens deserve safety, dignity, and accountability.
