HRCRC’s Access to Justice Drive
In line with our drive to see to decongestion and depopulation of the Abakaliki and Afikpo Correctional Custodial Center (prisons), HRCRC has facilitated the discharge and bail of 3 inmates since the beginning of the year 2024, whilst still representing over 30 inmates in different courts probono. Pictured here is one of the freed inmates standing with HRCRC’s Legal Officer Chioma, George and Fr. Edet immediately after he was discharged from the correctional centre after being incarcerated for 3 years.
