In recent months, Statistics of cases reported to HRCRC have indicated that one of the primary types of abuse perpetuated against women and children in the society today is Neglect and Deprivation. This trend calls for increased awareness, intervention and enlightenment targeted at families and the society.
Several legal instruments such as the Child Rights Act / Laws, Violence against Persons Prohibition laws have confirmed that women and children can be abused by neglect and deprivation.
