HRCRC Celebrates 2024 World Human Rights Day: On December 10, 2024, in collaboration with NHRC, Ebonyi State Office our branches/volunteers, stakeholders, CSOs, Friends, MDAs gathered at HRCRC office complex to mark the 2024 World Human Rights Day themed Our Rights, Our Future Right Now…

The highlight of the activity was the inauguration of 14 HRCRC Branches across different communities of Ebonyi State to deepen and strengthen our interventions in the grassroot. The symbolic planting of a tree in HRCRC to mark the celebration of 2024 World Human Rights Day was to also draw attention to deforestation and climate change.

We are most grateful to St. Patrick’s Missionary Society especially the West African Region, our Stakeholders and Partners, and our Branch Members/Volunteers for their support and efforts in strengthening the work that we do.

NHRC Collaborates wit HRCRC to End Violence Against Women and Girls: As part of activities of the 2024 16 Days of ACTIVISM themed “Unite, End Violence Against Women and Girls Now”, HRCRC hosted the National Human Rights Commission – Ebonyi State Office to extensively plan for further collaborations particularly for the forthcoming World Human Rights Day Commemoration in the State. HRCRC In Partnership with Other CSOs Visits Ebonyi State Chapter of JONAPWD – In partnership with Hope Inspired Foundation, the National Human Rights Commission – Ebonyi State office, and the Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development, HRCRC visited the Ebonyi State chapter of Joint National Association of Persons with Disability (JONAPWD); in a bid to collaborating to sort through internal issues to position members to achieve the advancement of PWDs.

The principal aim of this partnership is the domestication of the Discrimination Against Persons with Disability Prohibition Act 2018.
