  • Maiden gathering of FRIENDS OF HRCRC

Maiden Gathering of FRIENDS OF HRCRC: On Monday, October 20, 2025, our Board, team, and Volunteers hosted the maiden gathering of FRIENDS OF HRCRC. They are persons who actually believe in the cause and work of HRCRC and an avenue to become more involved collaborators by contributing directly to the work of HRCRC.
This local band of supporters will eventually become a self-sustaining, self-organizing group that will help support and further the work and projects of HRCRC materially, financially, and by awareness creation and spreading the word.
At induction and membership, each member can add FOH – Friend of Human Rights – to their name, and will meet annually to review the previous year and contributions, and plan and contribute for the coming year.
We deeply appreciate everyone who has contributed and collaborated with us voluntarily during the course of our work, and for the support.

  • Today is World Mental Health Day.

Today is World Mental Health Day. 💚
Honestly, with all sincerity and deep value for everyone
Many of us smile in public, yet battle silent storms within. We show up at work, church, school, or home, appearing “fine,” but deep down, something feels heavy: the anxiety, fear, stress, loneliness, or the unspoken weight of expectations.
The truth is, mental health matters as much as physical health. It’s not something that should be brushed aside. Handle it with immediate effect before it humbles you without mercy.
You don’t have to wait until everything falls apart before you speak up or seek help. Speaking to a counselor shouldn’t be seen as a sign of weakness. “In the multitude of counsel, there’s safety.”
Talking to a counsellor doesn’t mean you’re weak; it means you’re wise enough to take responsibility for your wellbeing.
    Take responsibility now!
Today is World Mental Health Day.
Sometimes, what you need isn’t “more strength”; it’s someone to listen, without judgment, and to walk with you through the process of healing

  • Peace Building

Peace Building is the comprehensive, long-term process of resolving conflict in nonviolent ways by addressing its root causes and transforming the conditions that generate violence, ultimately aiming to build a lasting and sustainable peace within a society or between nations.
In HRCRC, having Peace Building as part of our thematic areas, we are committed to collaborating with both government and nongovernmental agencies in the state to ensure there is progress in peaceful coexistence in the state.
