From its past achievement, HRCRC has been recognised in the following ways:
- Received award of recognition from the Amnesty International for the promotion of Human Rights given by the Abia State University Chapter.
- Addressed the World Conference of Jurists in Ireland in 2002.
- Addressed two chambers of the National Assembly in Abuja on human rights issues in Nigeria in 2002.
- Received a State Award for excellence from the government of Ebonyi State for the promotion of Human rights and the rights of women and children in 2007
- Obtained scholarships to train 1 staff in Peace Studies at Eastern Mennonite University, United States and 2 others in conflict management at Selly Oak Colleges in Birmingham, United Kingdom.
- Received an Award from the Nigerian Bar Association, Abakaliki Branch for promoting human rights and rule of law in 2009.
- Award of Excellence from FIDA for contributing to dispute resolution and protection of Women’s Rights in Ebonyi State 2010.
