Who We Are

Human Rights and Conflict Resolution Centre HRCRC, Abakaliki is a Not-for-Profit, non-governmental and right-based civil organisation established in 1990 for the interest of Human Rights, peace, democracy and development in Nigeria, and with a special focus on Ebonyi State. HRCRC is registered with the Nigeria’s Corporate Affairs Corporation (CAC) – 7366192 as a charity organisation. Founded by an Irish St Patrick’s Missionary Priest, Fr. Kevin O’Hara (SPS), the organisation has been at the forefront of rights-based activism, promoting conditions that enhances the flourishing of human lives and the enjoyments of rights while defending/protecting those rights when and wherever they are challenged. With a clear understating of the relationship between rights, justice, peace, governance and development as interrelated spheres of social frameworks, HRCRC has commitment to the following vision and mission.
